COSMIC is one of the freshest proposals in the Linux world in recent years: a modern, fast Wayland desktop, designed from the ground up. We saw it as an interesting option to explore and add to our Desktop family, alongside KDE, GNOME, XFCE, MATE, LXDE, Openbox and IceWM.
This image ships with the complete COSMIC desktop and Synex's visual identity already integrated, on the same solid base and familiar tools as always.
That said, we want to be clear: this is a development release. Both COSMIC and this integration are very much evolving, and we're publishing it as a preview for the curious and for enthusiasts who want to see where we're heading. We don't recommend it for production or daily-work machines: bugs, incomplete features and details still to be polished may show up. The best way to try it is in a virtual machine or on a secondary computer.
Development continues, and upcoming releases will bring improvements, fixes and the final branding. If you give it a try, any feedback helps us keep making it better.
