Synex Package Manager
Synex Package Manager is the graphical tool that centralizes software management on Synex Desktop. It unifies into a single application what used to require multiple managers: APT updates, Debian packages, local .deb files, repositories, Flatpak, and a tray indicator so updates never go unnoticed.
Designed to be simple for the everyday user and complete for the advanced one, with no need to open a terminal.
Key capabilities:
- Unified updates: APT and Flatpak in a single view, manual or unattended.
- Debian packages: search, install, and support for local .deb files with automatic dependency resolution.
- APT repositories: full management with a guided catalog of over 20 known sources (Docker, Brave, Tailscale, Visual Studio Code, and more).
