We are pleased to announce the official launch of Synex Hub, the Synex community forum. After weeks of preparation, today we open the doors of this space designed for users, enthusiasts and contributors to connect, share knowledge and grow the project together.
The opening of this forum
Synex Hub is born as a response to a clear need: to create a centralized meeting point where the community can operate comfortably. From now on, questions and discussions about Synex can be consulted through this new channel. The idea behind Synex Hub is to have a meeting point where we can debate system issues and Linux-related topics in general, as well as a central point from which to access tutorials and documentation.
With Synex Hub we seek to offer a structured space, easy to navigate and accessible to everyone. Here you will find everything from technical support to discussions about customization, including suggestions for improvement and problem reports.
The technology behind Synex Hub
To build this forum we chose Discourse, a modern open source platform that has become the de facto standard for technical communities worldwide. Discourse is not just another traditional forum: it is a platform designed from scratch to encourage meaningful conversations, with features such as smart notifications, advanced search, flexible categorization and a user experience that works perfectly on both desktop and mobile devices.
Discourse is used by renowned technical communities such as Ubuntu, Fedora, Mozilla, OpenSUSE and many others. This choice allows us to offer a familiar experience for those who already participate in other free software communities, in addition to guaranteeing scalability and stability as Synex Hub grows.

The platform is deployed on our own infrastructure, which gives us full control over community data and allows us to customize it completely according to the project’s needs.
How Synex Hub is organized
The forum is structured in clear categories that make it easy to find exactly what you are looking for:
- Announcements and News: the official place to learn about new releases, important changes and project news.
- Support and Help: if you have problems with the installation, configuration or use of Synex, this is your space. The community and development team are here to help you.
- Miscellaneous: discussions about Synex and Linux in general, as well as other questions that do not fit into the other categories.
- Development and Contributions: for those who want to contribute to the code, report bugs or discuss deeper technical aspects of the project, as well as contribute what they consider to the project.
- Suggestions: your opinion matters. Here you can propose new features, improvements or changes you would like to see in future versions.
All categories are available in both Spanish and English, reflecting our commitment to a global community.
Official communication channels
With the launch of Synex Hub, it is important to clarify what are now the official channels of the project:
- Website: https://synex.ar continues to be your starting point for downloads, official documentation and project presentation.
- Synex Hub: https://forum.synex.ar is now the main channel for community support, technical discussions and active participation.
- Sourceforge: https://synex.sourceforge.io hosts our official releases and the ticket system for formal bug reports.
- Official repository: https://repo.synex.ar to access packages and tools developed by the project.
- Telegram channel: https://t.me/synex_ar Available in Spanish and English, with integrated RSS to access our publications.
These channels make up the official Synex ecosystem, each with a specific and complementary purpose.
Looking ahead
As with any new project, there is always much more to do. At the moment we are working on the section that will cover documentation. The idea of this section is to create a kind of wiki where you can consult tutorials, guides, tips, workarounds and problem solving. And not only specifically focused on Synex, but on topics that cover the entire ecosystem.
For now, this is what we are going to advance, since as a new section, we are still organizing it internally, but we will have news soon.
Your participation is important
Synex Hub is not just a support tool: it is the heart of our community. We want this to be a space where you feel comfortable asking questions, sharing your experiences, showing your custom configurations or simply chatting with other users who share your interest in a stable, simple and efficient operating system.
It doesn’t matter if you are a new user installing Synex for the first time, or an advanced user with years of experience in Linux. Your perspective and contributions are valuable. The best communities are those where everyone learns from everyone, and that is exactly the kind of environment we want to cultivate in Synex Hub.
To get started, you just need to create an account with your email. The process is simple and fast. Once registered, we encourage you to introduce yourself, explore existing discussions and do not hesitate to open a new topic if you have any questions or want to share something with the community.
